As with any new venture, the hardest part was taking the first step. 12 months later, I am delighted to say that we have come a long way since that first step.
It certainly wasn’t plain sailing, I made a few rookie mistakes but I quickly rectified these. One was securing office space which didn’t represent the brand correctly. Thankfully our beautiful office in 12 Merrion Square represents PeopleSource perfectly.
I was advised to hire an A-team; this is easier said than done and that’s coming from a very experienced recruitment consultant! Headcount is pricey and joining a start-up is often seen as more of a risk than joining an established practice- particularly for well-regarded, experienced consultants who have already built a successful business within (usually) a larger brand-name consultancy.
It is to this end that I would like to thank both Niamh Kennelly and Saoirse O’Brien, both experienced, professional & fabulous people, for joining PeopleSource.ie. Call it what you like, it’s a big deal and a big move; they are great people, a pleasure to work with and they epitomise our values. PeopleSource is now a small but perfectly formed (and growing) team. Thank you also to Claire Cronin our business savvy chairperson who has backed PeopleSource from before day one.
Finally thanks to all of our clients & candidates who have supported us during our take off!
