CFO – Dublin 16 – up to c €125,000 +/- plus benefits
This is a unique opportunity to work with a well-known educational facility with charity status based in the heart of south Dublin.  Working with a diverse board, trustees and senior leadership team.  Reporting to a highly respected woman within the sector. The role is varied, covering both Finance & some operations and requires both strong leadership and commercial acumen.
Responsibilities
Finance
  • Standard management of a successful finance function (staff and processes) – AP, AR, Payroll, Financial Reporting, Budgeting & multi-year forecasting
  • Work with Finance & Risk committees managing variances, cost & internal controls
  • Point of contact for various audit processes
  • Manage Treasury, banking relationships and cashflow
  • Board reporting – preparing and presenting board packs
  • Ensure compliance with Charity status and oversee grant applications
  • Deliver process improvements through automation and remove risk exposure where possible
  • Ensure all relevant insurance coverage is up to date and fit for purpose
  • Work with stakeholders both internal and external including Board of Management, Trustees, Committee members (Audit, Risk, Finance), Charities Regulatory Authority, external advisors etc
  • Board reporting – preparing and presenting board packs
Operations
  • Work with Operations manager to ensure facilities are kept up to date & compliant with health & safety requirements
  • Oversee all capex projects – on time, on budget, highlighting overruns etc.  Financial modelling is required here.
  • Manage external vendor relationships from tendering to appointment to relationship/service delivery management
Requirements
  • Qualified accountant, ideally practice trained with several years of experience in industry – education or similar could be advantageous but not essential
  • A strong leader & communicator - experienced successful team manager, confident at managing a diverse group of stakeholders
  • Strong technical accountant, where process improvement comes naturally to you
  • Driven, self-starter, independent thinker, problem-solver, decision maker
Remuneration
  • Salary up to c €125,000 plus bonus & benefits
