Head of Finance/Financial Controller – Distribution – reporting to Founder/FD – Dublin 15Due to a recent private equity investment this established distribution company is hiring a Head of Finance, it’s a brand-new role. The first task will be to move the finance function in-house. This company has exciting expansion plans across new brands, new channels and new locations. As it is PE backed, an exit will be expected in the next 3 to 4 years. The opportunity is yours to make the most of. A CFO in the making would potentially be a good fit.Responsibilities - Prepare & present board packs at monthly stakeholder meetings including founders & investors
- Work with FD & CEO (both founders) on expansion strategies, there will a strong commercial element to this role
- Budgeting, forecasting, cashflow, financial modelling
- Move the function in-house
- Nuts & bolts of finance - controls, tax compliance and financial reporting
- Manage a team of two AP & AP
- Annual statutory reporting
- Work across the business (60 staff) to identify efficiencies, controls, mitigate risk and explore potential opportunities
- Oversee outsourced payroll provider
- Point of contact for Auditors, Banks & Legals
Requirements - Qualified accountant – it is expected the ideal person will be about 5 yrs pqe, ideally having worked in a PE backed organisation previously
- Confident technical accountant – it will the responsibility of the successful candidate to set up systems & controls to allow for expansion & transparency prior experience of this would be advantageous
- This is a distribution & retail business, prior experience working in this environment would be considered preferable
RemunerationAs this is a new role, there is flexibility around the package and how it is configured. The base is expected to be a minimum six figures. This can be a hybrid role and it could potentially be 4 days a week.
